In 1992, W.K. Chan, the founder of Asian Food Center, Inc. and Asian Food Markets, opened a 10,000 square feet Asian supermarket in Edison the heart of Central New Jersey.  Within five years the store expanded to 25,000 square feet.  Due to the increase in demand from its clients, Mr. Chan opened three more locations in New Jersey located in Middletown, North Plainfield and Princeton and one in Staten Island.

Recently our newest store has been opened in Piscataway to replace the aging Edison store.  The new store a 22,000-square-foot market is brighter, more open, with bigger displays and wide aisles that make it much easier to navigate.
